These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Lim Placement, a service operated by Joel Lim LLC ("Lim Placement," "we," "us," or "our"). By engaging our services, submitting your information through our forms, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or opt in to our messaging program.
1SMS and text messaging program
This section governs the Lim Placement text messaging program. It is provided to comply with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. section 227 and its implementing regulations at 47 C.F.R. section 64.1200, the rules of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices that wireless carriers enforce.
Your consent
By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively checking the consent box on our intake, scheduling, or onboarding forms, you give Lim Placement your prior express written consent to send recurring text messages to the number you provide, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or similar technology. The consent box is not pre-checked. Submitting it is a separate, affirmative action that you take, and it identifies Lim Placement as the sender and the categories of messages you will receive.
By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are the subscriber or the customary user of the mobile number you provide.
You are not required to provide this consent as a condition of purchasing any goods or services, or of receiving any of our services.
Messages you will receive
Under this program, Lim Placement sends text messages about appointment scheduling and reminders, follow-ups regarding your job search and placement, responses to inquiries you submit to us, and updates related to your account or service. Where a message is promotional or marketing in nature, we send it only under the prior express written consent described above. Each message identifies Lim Placement as the sender.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies based on your engagement and the stage of your service. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Lim Placement does not charge you for the messages themselves.
Consistent with applicable law, we send messages only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. based on the recipient's local time zone.
How to opt out
You may revoke your consent and stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. Consistent with FCC rules, you may also revoke consent through any other reasonable means, including by contacting us at the email address below. After you opt out, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send you further messages unless you opt in again. We honor opt-out requests promptly and in any event within the time required by applicable law.

Carriers
This program may be available on major wireless carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
We handle the information associated with this program as described in our Privacy Policy at https://limplacement.com/privacy. We do not share your text messaging opt-in data or your consent with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
2Our services
Lim Placement provides reverse recruiting and job search support services, which may include resume preparation, profile optimization, job application support, outreach, interview preparation, and placement assistance. The exact scope of work, deliverables, fees, and timelines for your engagement are set out in the separate written agreement between you and Lim Placement (your "individual agreement"). Section 3 below describes our standard engagement terms. Where these Terms and your individual agreement conflict, your individual agreement controls.
3Standard engagement terms
The terms in this section describe how a standard Lim Placement engagement works. They are the same terms, in the same plain English, as our standard client agreement. Fee amounts are not listed on this page; they are quoted during your strategy call and stated in your individual agreement, which controls wherever it differs from this section.
In plain terms
Your start fee is fully guaranteed: if we get you fewer than 3 qualified interviews in your first 4 months, you get all of it back. If you find a job on your own, you owe nothing more than the start fee. And the majority of the total fee exists only after you have accepted a job.

Take a job we did not find and you owe nothing more. No success fee at all.
Accept an offer from a process you started before signing, within your first 30 days, and the start fee is refunded.
No extra interview fees, ever, whether you need 8 interviews or 30.
3.1 How the fees work
A standard engagement has three stages. Fees are due only as each stage is reached, and the amount for each stage is stated in your individual agreement.

In a typical engagement, the majority of the total fee is due only after you have accepted a job.
3.2 The 3-Interview Guarantee
If we get you fewer than 3 qualified interviews in your first 4 months, we give the whole start fee back.
We also give it back if we fail to deliver, meaning we do not start your service within 14 days, we stop working for 30 days straight while you stay in touch, or we break the privacy commitment on purpose. Small delays and honest mistakes do not count, and we fix those.
3.3 What counts as a qualified interview
A qualified interview is a live conversation with a real person at a unique company that meets the salary and location criteria in your individual agreement. AI screens, one-way video interviews, and automated assessments do not count. Multiple interview rounds at the same company count as one qualified interview.
3.4 If you find a job on your own
You can always look on your own. If you find and take a job we did not find, you pay nothing more, no success fee at all. If the interview fee has already started when you sign that offer, the remaining interview fee payments stop that day. A job is one we found only if we applied to it, we put you in touch with the company, or we found it and sent it to you in writing. If you take a job we found, you pay the full success fee, including during the follow-up period in Section 3.10.
3.5 Opportunities you already have when you sign
If you accept an offer from an interview process you started before you signed with us, within your first 30 days and with proof, we refund your full start fee too. At onboarding, we attach a list of your pre-existing applications and interview processes to your individual agreement, so there is never a question later of whose lead was whose.
3.6 Ways to save
The start fee is reduced if you sign during your strategy call, with a smaller reduction if you sign within 10 days of your strategy call, and a military discount is available. One discount applies at a time, whichever is best for you. The success fee is discounted if you pay it over 3 months instead of 6. You pay nothing for interviews past your 8th, and if you get a job before your 8th qualified interview, you skip the interview fee entirely. Current discount amounts are quoted on your call and stated in your individual agreement.
3.7 Your part
Here is what we need from you: tell us the truth about your work, your wins, your pay, and your goals. Reply within 2 days when we ask you something. And tell us within 2 days about any interview, offer, or start date, for any job, ours or yours, with quick proof: the offer letter and your yes, then a welcome email or first paycheck.
3.8 Pausing your search
You may pause your search at any time by telling us in writing. While paused, we stop new applications and outreach. Interviews may still arrive from applications already submitted, because we cannot control when companies respond, and we will forward those to you.
3.9 If an offer is withdrawn before you start
If you take an offer and the company pulls it before you start, you owe nothing for that job, unless you actually start. This does not apply if you backed out or gave inaccurate information. We may ask for quick proof within 5 business days.
3.10 Ending an engagement and the follow-up period
Either side can end the engagement in writing. If you stop early, the start fee is not refunded, because the guarantee applies only if we complete the full 4 months. There is a follow-up period: for 3.5 months after we finish applying for you, if you take a job we found, the full success fee still applies. If the engagement ends before any success fee is owed, you owe nothing further. If we end it and it is not your fault, we hand you all your files and materials.
3.11 Late payments
If a payment is more than 30 days late and you have not raised a good-faith concern about it, a late fee applies, with an additional late fee for each further 30 days it remains unpaid. The late fee amount is stated in your individual agreement.
3.12 Payment methods
Payments are processed by card or bank transfer through Stripe at every stage. The start fee can be split over four weeks with Klarna, and the interview and success fees are already installment-based. Other methods, such as Zelle or PayPal, are available on request.
3.13 Your individual agreement controls
This section summarizes our standard terms for transparency. The signed individual agreement between you and Lim Placement is the binding document for your engagement, states your exact fees and criteria, and controls wherever it differs from these Terms.
4Fees and payment
Fees for our services are stated in your individual agreement, with the standard structure described in Section 3. Unless your agreement states otherwise, payment is processed through our third-party payment provider, and you agree to that provider's terms when you submit payment. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and for any fees charged by your own financial institution.
5Your responsibilities
To receive the full benefit of our services, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, to respond to reasonable requests in a timely manner, and to participate in good faith in the steps your service requires. You are responsible for the accuracy of the professional information you provide, including your resume, work history, and credentials. You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose.
6No guarantee of employment
Lim Placement provides job search support and placement assistance. We do not control hiring decisions made by employers, and we do not guarantee that you will receive offers or employment within any specific time frame, or at all. The exceptions are the 3-Interview Guarantee described in Section 3.2 and any specific outcome expressly stated in your individual agreement. Any results referenced on our website or in our materials are examples and are not a promise of similar results for you.
7Intellectual property
All content on our website and in our materials, including text, graphics, logos, templates, and the Lim Placement name and marks, is owned by or licensed to Joel Lim LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written permission, except for documents we prepare specifically for your own personal use as part of your engagement.
8Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lim Placement disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lim Placement and Joel Lim LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services or our messaging program. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the services giving rise to the claim.
9Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement in accordance with the terms of the individual agreement, as summarized in Section 3.10. We may suspend or terminate your access to our services if you breach these Terms or your individual agreement, or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will survive.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services, or your continued participation in our messaging program, after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
11Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, and by applicable federal law, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Disputes arising under an individual services agreement are resolved as stated in that agreement.
